CHEST is the monthly peer-reviewed journal of the American College of Chest Physicians, produced by Elsevier since 2016, founded in 1935 under the name Diseases of the Chest and devoted to the multidisciplinary specialties of chest medicine such as pulmonology, critical care, sleep medicine, cardiorespiratory interactions, thoracic surgery and transplantation, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 9.8 and first quartile standing in both respiratory system and critical care medicine《胸科》（CHEST）是美国胸科医师学会（ACCP）的月刊同行评审期刊，1935 年以（Diseases of the Chest）之名创刊，2016 年起由爱思唯尔（Elsevier）出版，覆盖肺病学、重症监护、睡眠医学、心肺相互作用、胸外科与移植等胸科医学多学科领域，2025 年影响因子为 9.8，在呼吸系统与危重病医学两个类别均居第一四分位。

Scope

• The journal describes itself as the official publication of the American College of Chest Physicians and each month it carries cutting edge original research in the multidisciplinary specialties of chest medicine, such as pulmonology, critical care, sleep medicine, cardiorespiratory interactions, thoracic surgery, transplantation and airways disease该刊自述为美国胸科医师学会（ACCP）的官方出版物，每月刊发胸科医学多学科领域的前沿原创研究，涉及肺病学、重症监护、睡眠医学、心肺相互作用、胸外科、移植与气道疾病等。

History

• The journal was launched in March 1935 as Diseases of the Chest, with volume 1 number 1 issued by the Federation of American Sanatoria, and its early pages were dominated by tuberculosis, carrying papers on collapse therapy, the sanatorium patient, intrapleural pneumolysis and the relation of primary lung cancer to pulmonary tuberculosis该刊于 1935 年 3 月以（Diseases of the Chest）之名创刊，第 1 卷第 1 期由美国疗养院联合会（Federation of American Sanatoria）发行，早期内容以结核病为主，刊有塌陷疗法、疗养院患者管理、胸膜内人工气胸疗法以及原发性肺癌与肺结核关系的论文。^[1]

• Peter J. Mazzone, MD, MPH and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, is editor-in-chief, a pulmonologist at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio who directs the lung cancer program and the lung cancer screening program of its Respiratory Institute主编（Peter J.
