Chang Gung University (CGU) is a private university in Guishan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Founded in 1987 by the Formosa Plastics Group and its chairman Wang Yung-ching as Chang Gung Medical College, it became a full university in 1997 and placed joint 662nd in the 2027 QS World University Rankings.长庚大学（简称 CGU）是一所位于台湾桃园市龟山区的私立大学。学校由台塑关系企业及其董事长王永庆于 1987 年以「长庚医学院」之名创办，1997 年升格为完整大学，在 2027 年 QS 世界大学排名中并列第 662 位。

Organised into four colleges of Medicine, Engineering, Management and Intelligent Computing, CGU enrolled 7,181 full-time degree students in 2025 and maintains a student-to-faculty ratio of about 11 to 1 on a campus of 37.13 hectares in the Linkou basin, roughly thirty minutes from central Taipei.学校设医学、工学、管理与智慧运算 4 个学院，2025 年全日制学位生 7181 人，在占地 37.13 公顷、距台北市中心约 30 分钟的林口台地校区维持约 11 比 1 的生师比。

History

• In 1974 Wang Yung-ching and his younger brother Wang Yung-zai, founders of the Formosa Plastics Group, built Chang Gung Memorial Hospital at Linkou in memory of their father, Wang Chang-gung, laying the medical foundation from which the university would grow.1974 年，台塑关系企业创办人王永庆与弟王永在昆仲为追念其尊翁王长庚先生，在林口创办长庚纪念医院，为日后学校的诞生奠定了医疗基础。

• The campus occupies 37.13 hectares in the Linkou basin in Guishan District, Taoyuan City, on the boundary between Taoyuan and New Taipei, about thirty minutes from central Taipei by road.校区占地 37.13 公顷，位于桃园市龟山区林口台地，处于桃园与新北交界，走公路距台北市中心约 30 分钟。
