Cell Transplantation

Cell Transplantation (Cell Transplant.) is a journal of cell transplantation and regenerative medicine published by SAGE Publications. Founded in 1992, it long carried the subtitle The Regenerative Medicine Journal to mark its remit, concentrates on cell therapy, tissue engineering and transplantation immunology, is now fully gold open access, and had a 2025 impact factor of 3.3.《细胞移植》（Cell Transplantation''''，缩写 Cell Transplant.''）是世哲出版出版的细胞移植与再生医学刊物，1992 年创刊，长期以副题「再生医学杂志」标示其定位。该刊以细胞治疗、组织工程与移植免疫为主，现为完全金色开放获取，二〇二五年影响因子为 3.3。

Scope

The journal's editorial stance is that a paper must speak to the feasibility of cell transplantation: however novel the cell source, it has to show evidence on engraftment, survival, functional integration or immune compatibility. The journal is fully gold open access with an article processing charge of 3,200 US dollars and no charge for commentary articles. The publisher gives neither a single year for the full transition nor any review-speed or acceptance figures. There is a source conflict on the impact factor: the journal site gives 3.3 while a licensed redistribution page gives a 2025 journal impact factor of 3.7.本刊为完全金色开放获取，文章处理费为三千二百美元，评论类文章免费；出版方未公布统一的全面转型年份，也未公布审稿时效与录用比例；影响因子一项存在来源冲突，官网列 3.3，授权转载页另列 2025 年期刊影响因子 3.7。^[1]

History

• Founding (1992): volume 1, issue 1 appeared in 1992 with Paul R. Sanberg as founding editor and Camillo Ricordi as co-founder. The rationale was to create a dedicated forum for cell transplantation and regenerative medicine, and the journal has used its present name since founding.创刊（1992年）： 1992 年出版第 1 卷第 1 期，创始主编为（Paul R. • Change of publisher (2017): the journal was published by Cognizant Communication from founding and transferred to SAGE Publications on 8 May 2017, the change taking effect from volume 26, issue 7.出版方变更（2017年）： 本刊创刊时由（Cognizant Communication）出版，2017 年 5 月 8 日起转由世哲出版出版，交接自第 26 卷第 7 期起生效。^[3]

• Sister title and standards: a sister journal, Cell Medicine, was spun off in 2010. Between 2019 and 2022 a number of papers were retracted, and from 2025 the publisher tightened its review and integrity requirements.派生刊与规范整肃： 2010 年派生出姊妹刊《细胞医学》；2019 年至 2022 年间本刊有部分论文被撤稿，自 2025 年起出版方提高审稿与学术规范要求。

Editors

The journal was run by its founders for a long period, unusual among cell transplantation titles in remaining in the founding generation. The handover took place in 2025, with the founder and co-founder becoming emeritus co-editors-in-chief and the new editor based in Asia.本刊长期由创始人主持编务，是细胞移植领域少见的「创始人世代」刊物；2025 年起完成交接，创始人与联合创始人转为荣誉共同主编，现任主编来自亚洲。^[1]

• Present editor-in-chief: Hidetaka Hara of Hainan Medical University became editor-in-chief in 2025, having previously served for a long period as co-editor-in-chief.现任主编： （Hidetaka Hara）供职于海南医科大学，2025 年起任主编；此前长期任共同主编。

• Founders and predecessors: Paul R. Sanberg was founding editor-in-chief and led the journal from 1992 to 2024 at the University of South Florida创始人与历任： （Paul R. • Role in the field: the journal was among the earliest specialist titles in cell transplantation and has long served as an archival venue for cell therapy and regenerative medicine research.
