Cell Journal

Cell Journal is a peer reviewed open access journal published by the Royan Institute of Iran. It was founded in 1999 under the title Yakhteh Medical Journal, took its present name in 2010 and was first indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded in 2011. The current editors-in-chief are Dr Ahmad Hosseini of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (Iran) and Dr Massoud Vosough of the Royan Institute, and twelve issues appear each yearCell Journal 是伊朗 Royan Institute 出版的同行评审开放获取期刊，1999 年以 Yakhteh Medical Journal（雅赫特医学杂志）之名创刊，2010 年改用现名，2011 年被科学引文索引扩展版首次收录，现任主编为艾哈迈德·侯赛尼博士（沙希德·贝赫什提医科大学（伊朗））与马苏德·武索格博士（Royan Institute），每年出版十二期。^[1]

It should be noted that this journal has been published independently by the Royan Institute of Iran throughout its existence. It has never moved into the Springer Nature system and has no connection with the Chinese Academy of Sciences journal family. It was founded in 1999, and 2010 marks the change of title rather than the founding of the journal, a distinction that source records frequently conflate.需要说明的是，该刊自创刊至今一直由伊朗的 Royan Institute 独立发行，并未转入 Springer Nature 体系，也与中国科学院的期刊体系无关。创刊年份为 1999 年，2010 年发生的是改名而非创刊；因资料来源常把后者误记为创刊年，此处一并澄清。

Scope

• The aim of the journal is to disseminate information through publishing the most recent scientific research studies on exclusively cellular, molecular and other related topics期刊目标是传播细胞与分子科学领域的最新研究成果，官方表述为只刊发与细胞、分子及其他相关主题有关的论文。

• The specific disciplinary scope covers cell therapy and regenerative medicine, stem cell biology, reproductive medicine, medical genetics, immunology, oncology, clinical biochemistry, neuroscience and tissue engineering具体的学科范围包括细胞治疗与再生医学、干细胞生物学、生殖医学、医学遗传学、免疫学、肿瘤学、临床生物化学、神经科学与组织工程。

• Article types include original articles, reviews, systematic reviews, short communications, case reports, editorials, images in biology and letters to the editor论文类型涵盖原创研究论文、综述、系统综述、短篇通讯、病例报告、社论、生物学图片与读者来信。

• Open access has applied since 2007 under a Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial licence, and no subscription or reading fee is charged to readers期刊自 2007 年起即实行完全开放获取，署名许可采用知识共享署名非商业性使用许可，不向读者收取订阅或阅读费用。

• As one of the few internationally peer reviewed journals in cell and molecular biology from Iran, it is indexed in MEDLINE, Scopus and the Directory of Open Access Journals, and holds membership of the Committee on Publication Ethics作为伊朗细胞与分子生物学领域少有的国际同行评审期刊，该刊被医学文献数据库、Scopus 与开放获取期刊目录等收录，并加入了出版伦理委员会。

The subjects listed in this section show a clear orientation towards regenerative medicine and developmental biology, which differs from the emphasis on oncology and immunology of the journal Cell and its sister titles. The topical tradition of this journal can be traced to its founding as a title centred on medicine and embryology, and research into cell therapy and stem cells remains its distinctive section to this dayScope 章节所列学科呈现出明显的再生医学与发育生物学取向，与同名的 Cell 及其姊妹刊在肿瘤与免疫方向上的重心并不相同。该刊的选题传统可追溯至创刊时以医学与胚胎学为主的定位，细胞治疗与干细胞研究成为其延续至今的特色栏目。

History

• 1999: Founded under the title Yakhteh Medical Journal and certified by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the same year1999 年： 以 Yakhteh Medical Journal 之名创刊，同年获得伊朗文化与伊斯兰指导部的期刊认证。

• 2000: Accredited as a scientific and research journal by the Health and Biomedical Information Journal Accreditation Commission2000 年： 获得健康与生物医学信息期刊认证委员会授予的科学与研究期刊资质。

• 2007: Converted to fully open access publication, with the Yakhteh element still retained in the title2007 年： 转为完全开放获取出版，刊名中的 Yakhteh 字样仍予保留。

• 2010: Renamed Cell Journal, with Yakhteh replaced by Cell in the title, a change also recorded in the journal's own performance report2010 年： 更名为 Cell Journal，刊名由 Yakhteh 改为 Cell，此项变更亦被期刊自身的影响力报告所记录。

• 2011: First indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded, after which the impact factor rose from 0.2 in 2012 to 3.1 in 20212011 年： 被科学引文索引扩展版首次收录，此后影响因子由 2012 年的 0.2 逐步上升至 2021 年的 3.1。

The point of this history section is to make clear that the two years are not in conflict. 1999 is the year of founding and 2010 is the year of the title change, eleven years apart. Retaining only 2010 would misrepresent the age of the journal and understate its standing as a long established biomedical title from IranHistory 章节的意义在于厘清两个年份并不矛盾：1999 年是创刊时间，2010 年是改名时间，两者相差十一年。若只保留 2010 年，会误判该刊的历史长度，也会低估其作为伊朗老牌生物医学期刊的积累。

Editors

The editor-in-chief is Dr Ahmad Hosseini of the Department of Embryology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (Iran). The co-editor-in-chief is Dr Massoud Vosough of the Royan Institute, who covers cell therapy and regenerative medicine. The chairperson of the editorial board is Dr Hamid Gourabi of the Royan Institute, whose field is medical physics现任主编为艾哈迈德·侯赛尼博士，供职于沙希德·贝赫什提医科大学（伊朗）胚胎学专业。共同主编马苏德·武索格博士来自 Royan Institute，负责细胞治疗与再生医学方向。编委会主席为 Hamid Gourabi 博士（Royan Institute），研究方向为医学物理。

• Dr Ahmad Hosseini, editor-in-chief at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (Iran), oversees the overall academic direction and editorial decisions of the journal艾哈迈德·侯赛尼，博士，沙希德·贝赫什提医科大学（伊朗），主编，统管刊物的整体学术方向与编辑决策。

• Dr Massoud Vosough, co-editor-in-chief at the Royan Institute (Iran), is responsible for the cell therapy and regenerative medicine section马苏德·武索格，博士，Royan Institute（伊朗），共同主编，主管细胞治疗与再生医学板块。

• Board members come from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and the Royan Institute in Tehran, as well as Tarbiat Modares University, Macquarie University in Australia and the National University of Singapore, covering haematology, oncology, neuroscience, biotechnology, systems biology and tissue engineering.
