Cell and Bioscience is an open access peer-reviewed journal that encompasses all areas of life science research, launched by BioMed Central in 2011 as the official journal of the Society of Chinese Bioscientists in America, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 6.5.（Cell and Bioscience）（《细胞与生物科学》）是涵盖生命科学各研究领域的开放获取同行评审期刊，2011 年由（BioMed Central）创刊，为美洲华人生物科学家学会（SCBA）官方期刊，2025 年 JIF 为 6.5。

Scope

• The journal encompasses all areas of life science research, including molecular and cellular biology, cancer biology, genetics, epigenetics and genomics, and enzymology and biochemistry.本刊涵盖生命科学全部研究领域，包括分子与细胞生物学、癌症生物学、遗传学、表观遗传学与基因组学以及酶学与生物化学。
• Topics of interest also include aging, chemical biology, chromosome biology and gene regulation, developmental biology, drug discovery and therapeutics, and emerging biotechnologies.关注主题还包括衰老、化学生物学、染色体生物学与基因调控、发育生物学、药物发现与治疗学以及新兴生物技术。
• Further areas are immunology and pathogen biology, infectious diseases, metabolic diseases, neurosciences and neurological diseases, pathology, pharmacology including Chinese traditional medicine, and post-translational modifications and proteomics.其他方向包括免疫学与病原生物学、传染病、代谢疾病、神经科学与神经疾病、病理学、药理学（含中国传统医学）以及翻译后修饰与蛋白质组学。
• The journal also covers stem cell biology, structural biology, translational medicine research, virology, and pathogen and parasite biology.本刊还覆盖干细胞生物学、结构生物学、转化医学研究、病毒学及病原体与寄生虫生物学。
• It aims to promote research in the biosciences and to advance biological and medical knowledge, serving as a forum for collaboration, discovery and exploration that reaches both Western and Asian scientific communities.本刊旨在推动生物科学研究、促进生物学与医学知识进步，为同时面向东西方科学界的合作、发现与探索提供论坛。

History

• Cell and Bioscience launched on 18 January 2011 with BioMed Central as the official journal of the Society of Chinese Bioscientists in America, with Yun-Bo Shi of the National Institutes of Health as its first editor-in-chief.本刊于 2011 年 1 月 18 日由（BioMed Central）创刊，作为美洲华人生物科学家学会官方期刊出版，创刊主编为美国国立卫生研究院的 Yun-Bo Shi。^[1]
• In his inaugural editorial Shi pointed to the rapid growth of open access publishing and the need for a new journal reaching both Western and Asian audiences.创刊社论中，Shi 指出开放获取出版快速发展，需要一本同时面向东西方读者的新期刊。
• The journal was founded by Kuan-Teh Jeang, then president of the SCBA, who served as founding editor until his death in 2013.本刊由时任 SCBA 主席的 Kuan-Teh Jeang 创办，Jeang 任创刊编辑直至 2013 年逝世。
• Shi led the journal until the end of 2019, and Yun-Fai Chris Lau of the University of California, San Francisco, became editor-in-chief in 2020.Shi 主编本刊至 2019 年底，2020 年起由加州大学旧金山分校的 Yun-Fai Chris Lau 接任主编。
• The Ming K Jeang Award for Excellence was set up in 2011 to honor outstanding research articles published in the journal.本刊于 2011 年设立（Ming K Jeang Award for Excellence），表彰发表于本刊的杰出研究论文。

• The Associate Editors-in-Chief are Dong-Yan Jin of the University of Hong Kong, Lin Mei of Case Western Reserve University, Ying E. Zhang of the National Institutes of Health and Peng Jin of Emory University.共同副主编包括香港大学的 Dong-Yan Jin、凯斯西储大学的 Lin Mei、美国国立卫生研究院的 Ying E. Zhang 与埃默里大学的 Peng Jin。
