Carbohydrate Polymers

Carbohydrate Polymers (Carbohydr. Polym.) is a journal of polysaccharide science and technology published by Elsevier. Founded in September 1981, it was conceived from the outset as a venue for industrially relevant polysaccharide research, concentrates on the structure, modification, function and application of polysaccharides, appears as twenty-four volumes a year, and had a 2025 impact factor of 13.2.《碳水化合物聚合物》(Carbohydrate Polymers'''',缩写 Carbohydr. Polym.'')

Scope

The journal's editorial stance is that a paper must address the science and technology of polysaccharides themselves: however appealing the application, it has to give a sound characterisation of polysaccharide structure, properties or processing behaviour and show how that bears on an industrial or biomedical setting.

The journal is hybrid and the gold open access article processing charge is 5,230 US dollars. The publisher reports six days to first decision, thirty-one days to a decision after review and 89 days to acceptance, the first-decision figure including editorial screening本刊为混合出版,金色开放获取的文章处理费为五千二百三十美元;出版方公布投稿至首次决定六天、复审后决定三十一天、投稿至接收八十九天,其中首次决定包含编辑部初筛,录用比例未公布;本刊自 2012 年第 89 卷第 1 期起被 MEDLINE 收录。 no acceptance rate is published. The journal has been indexed in MEDLINE since volume 89, issue 1, in 2012.[1]

History

Editors

The journal is run by three co-editors-in-chief based in France, Portugal and the United States, working respectively on polysaccharide physical chemistry, bio-based materials and cellulose derivatives, a combination that matches the journal's dual orientation from fundamental characterisation to industrial application. The publisher also lists founding editors. [4]
