Scope

• The journal publishes original articles, editorials, letters to the editor and short reports across basic, translational and clinical cancer research.刊物发表基础、转化与临床肿瘤学领域的原创论文、社论、读者来信与研究简报。
• Basic and clinical immunology, together with carcinogenesis, are the first two declared subject categories.基础与临床免疫学以及癌变机制是官网列出的前两个主题类别。

History

• The journal was founded in 1907 as Gann by Katsusaburo Yamagiwa of the University of Tokyo, who had induced tumours in rabbits with coal tar.1907 年由东京大学的（Katsusaburo Yamagiwa）创办，初名《癌》（Gann）；他曾以煤焦油在兔耳诱发肿瘤。
• The Japanese Cancer Association was founded on 5 April 1941 with Gann as its official journal, after the title had appeared in cooperation with the Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research.日本癌症学会于 1941 年 4 月 5 日成立，《癌》自始被定为其会刊；此前该刊长期与日本癌症研究基金会合作出版。
• It carried the name Gann until January 1985, when it became the Japanese Journal of Cancer Research.刊名沿用《癌》至 1985 年 1 月，随后改为《日本癌症研究杂志》（Japanese Journal of Cancer Research）。
• It took its present title, Cancer Science, in 2003.2003 年启用现名《癌症科学》。
