British Journal of Nutrition

British Journal of Nutrition is a peer-reviewed nutrition journal published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of The Nutrition Society in the United KingdomBritish Journal of Nutrition(英国营养学杂志)是由 剑桥大学出版社(英国)代表 英国营养学会 出版的同行评议营养学期刊,创刊于 1947 年,现为每年二十四期的半月刊,每年编为两卷;它长期是营养学领域引用量最高的专业期刊之一,其稿件类型与学科边界的划定方式都直接体现了该刊对「营养学作为独立学科」的界定主张。 founded in 1947, it now appears as a twice-monthly journal of twenty-four issues per year arranged in two volumes per year, and it has long been among the most heavily cited specialist titles in nutrition, with both its article types and the way it draws the boundaries of the discipline reflecting the journal's insistence on treating nutrition science as a field in its own right.[1]

Scope

The basic remit of the journal is to publish original papers and review articles across the full spectrum of nutritional science, with the common requirement that every submission increase knowledge in the nutritional science relevant to human or animal nutrition.期刊的基本定位是发表覆盖营养学全部谱系的原创论文与综述文章,所有投稿的共同要求是增进与人类或动物营养相关的营养学知识。

This boundary deserves separate attention because nutrition science is itself a field in rapid cross-fertilisation with its neighbours, so the journal's decisions about which intersections to admit and which to shut are an ongoing answer to the question of how far nutrition should extend这套选题边界值得单独留意,因为营养学本身正处在与其他学科加速交叉的位置,期刊选择在哪些交叉方向敞开、在哪些方向关门,实际上是在持续回答营养学应当划定到多大范围这一问题。它对公共卫生导向的调查与系统综述较为宽容,对纯粹补充替代医学的证据则持保留态度,这一取舍使它在政策讨论频繁的营养学公共争议中保持了相对稳健的立场。 its relative openness to public-health oriented surveys and systematic reviews, combined with reserve toward purely complementary-medicine evidence, has kept it on a comparatively stable footing in the field's frequent public policy debates.

History

The editor-in-chief is an academic appointed by The Nutrition Society, with deputy editors grouped by subdiscipline, together with separate deputy editors for reviews, supplements and statistics, a division of editorial labour that is notably fine grained.期刊主编由英国营养学会聘用的学者担任,副主编团队按营养学的细分研究方向分组,另设综述副主编、增补副主编与统计编辑,编务分工相当细致。
