Brawijaya University

Brawijaya University, known as UB and in Indonesian as Universitas Brawijaya, is an autonomous state university in Malang, East Java, Indonesia.布拉维加亚大学（Universitas Brawijaya，简称 UB）是印度尼西亚东爪哇省玛琅市的一所自治国立大学。

Founded on 5 January 1963 by ministerial decree, it traces its name to a 1961 decision of President Sukarno, who gave it the name of the kings of Majapahit.该校依部长令于1963年1月5日成立，其校名可溯至1961年苏加诺总统的决定，他以满者伯夷诸王之名命名该校。

History

• The idea of a university in Malang was raised at a meeting of civic and government figures on 10 May 1957, at the initiative of the speaker of the local council, the first concrete step towards what became a modern university in East Java.在玛琅创办大学的设想由地方议会议长倡议，于1957年5月10日在一次市政与政府人士会议上提出，这是东爪哇后来一所现代大学的最初具体起步。

Campus
