Boğaziçi University, known in Turkish as Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, is a public research university in Istanbul, Turkey, whose main campus lies in Bebek just west of the Bosphorus, the strait from which the institution takes its name.海峡大学（土耳其语：Boğaziçi Üniversitesi）是位于土耳其伊斯坦布尔的一所公立研究型大学，主校区位于博斯普鲁斯海峡西岸的贝贝克，校名亦取自这条海峡。

History

• Robert College was founded in Bebek in 1863 by Christopher Robert, an American philanthropist, and Cyrus Hamlin, a Congregational missionary, and it was the first American college established outside the United States.罗伯特学院于 1863 年由美国慈善家克里斯托弗·罗伯特与公理会传教士赛勒斯·哈姆林在贝贝克创办，是美国本土之外建立的第一所美国式学院。
