BMC Systems Biology
BMC Systems Biology is an open access journal published by BioMed Central that ran from 2007 to 2019, the first open access journal spanning systems biology from molecules to ecosystems(BMC Systems Biology)是由(BioMed Central)出版的开放获取期刊,2007 至 2019 年发行,是首个从分子到生态系统覆盖系统生物学的开放获取期刊。
Scope
- Systems-level analysis of biology, from molecules up to ecosystems
- Empirical systems biology, using experiments and data to understand the structure and function of biological systems
- Mathematical modelling, network analysis and software for biological systems
- Metabolic, regulatory and signalling networks
- All sound research in systems biology, published on an open access basis
History
- Launched in 2007 by BioMed Central, with the first articles appearing in September 20072007 年由(BioMed Central)创办,首批文章于 2007 年 9 月发表。[1]
- It was the first open access journal spanning the field of systems biology from molecules up to ecosystems
- Publication ceased with volume 19 in 20192019 年第 19 卷出版后停刊。
- The journal is now closed, its archive remains fully searchable, and authors are directed to BMC Bioinformatics该刊已停刊,其存档仍可全文检索,投稿现转往(BMC Bioinformatics)。
Editors
- The launch editorial was written by Matt J. Hodgkinson and Penelope A. Webb of BioMed Central创刊社论由(BioMed Central)的 Matt J. Hodgkinson 与 Penelope A. Webb 撰写。
- An international editorial board included Douglas Lauffenburger, Ron Shamir and Ernst Gilles国际编委会成员包括 Douglas Lauffenburger、Ron Shamir 与 Ernst Gilles。
- The journal organised subject sections such as empirical systems biology, edited by Matteo Pellegrini该刊设有主题分栏,例如由 Matteo Pellegrini 主持的经验系统生物学分栏。
- Submissions were peer reviewed under the BMC series' open review policy, with an average time to review of about nine months稿件按(BMC)系列的公开评审政策实行同行评审,平均评审周期约九个月。
