Beirut Arab University (BAU) is a private, non-profit university in Lebanon, founded by the Waqf El-Bir wal Ihsan society and launched on 7 November 1960 in the Tariq El-Jadideh district of Beirut.贝鲁特阿拉伯大学（Beirut Arab University，简称 BAU）是黎巴嫩的私立非营利大学，由「比尔与伊赫桑瓦克夫」创办，于 1960 年 11 月 7 日在贝鲁特的塔里克·贾迪德区正式开办。

It was established with academic and logistical support from Egypt under President Gamal Abdel Nasser, and it has long maintained close ties with Alexandria University.该校在埃及总统贾迈勒·阿卜杜勒·纳赛尔执政时期获得埃及的学术与后勤支持而建立，并长期同亚历山大大学保持密切关系。

History

• The Bir W Ihsan Waqf, formerly the Bir W Ihsan Association in the Tariq El-Jadideh district of Beirut, founded the university as one of its charitable institutions.比尔与伊赫桑瓦克夫（前身为贝鲁特塔里克·贾迪德区的比尔与伊赫桑协会）把该校作为其慈善机构之一创办。
