The Autonomous University of Barcelona (Catalan: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB, Spanish: Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona) is a public university whose academic activity is concentrated on the Bellaterra campus in Cerdanyola del Vallès, near the city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain.巴塞罗那自治大学（加泰罗尼亚文：Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona，简称 UAB）是一所公立大学，其教学活动集中于西班牙加泰罗尼亚巴塞罗那附近、塞尔达尼奥拉-德尔巴列斯境内的贝拉特拉校区。

History

• The Second Spanish Republic, proclaimed in 1931, drew up plans for a second university in Barcelona to relieve the overcrowded University of Barcelona.1931 年宣告成立的西班牙第二共和国曾筹划在巴塞罗那另建一所大学，以缓解巴塞罗那大学人满为患的状况。
