Atmospheric Research

Atmospheric Research is a peer-reviewed journal published by Elsevier since 1986 and focused on cloud physics, mesoscale meteorology and atmospheric pollution, with a 2025 impact factor of 4.5（Atmospheric Research，简称 Atmos. Res.）是 Elsevier 自 1986 年起出版的同行评审期刊，聚焦云物理、中尺度气象与大气污染，2025 年影响因子为 4.5。

History

• It continues the French-language Journal de recherches atmosphériques, founded in 1963 by the universities of Clermont-Ferrand and Toulouse and discontinued in 1985该刊前身为法文刊（Journal de recherches atmosphériques），1963 年由克莱蒙费朗大学与图卢兹大学创办，1985 年停刊。
• Elsevier took over the title in 1986 and renamed it Atmospheric Research, continuing the volume numbering from volume 20, issue 11986 年 Elsevier 接办，改名为 Atmospheric Research，卷号延续至第 20 卷第 1 期。^[1]
• Early text was in English with abstracts in both English and French早期正文用英文，摘要以英、法双语刊出。
• It appeared four times a year at its foundation and is now semimonthly, with about 24 issues a year创刊时为每年四期，现为半月刊，每年约二十四期。
• Publication is hybrid open access, with an article processing charge of 3560 US dollars and gold open-access articles accounting for about one fifth of the total采用混合开放获取，文章处理费为 3560 美元，金色开放获取文章约占总数的五分之一。

• The editors-in-chief are Olivier Dessens of University College London, Juan Fang of Nanjing University and Xiushu Qie of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences现任主编共三人，分别为伦敦大学学院的 Olivier Dessens、南京大学的方娟与中国科学院大气物理研究所的郄秀书。
• Juan Fang works on tropical cyclone dynamics and mesoscale meteorology方娟的研究方向为热带气旋动力学与中尺度气象。
• Xiushu Qie works on the physics of lightning, thunderstorm electricity and severe convection郄秀书的研究方向为雷电物理、雷暴电学与强对流。
• The editorial board comprises more than 30 editors and board members from 12 countries and regions, including 10 from China, 7 from Spain and 3 from the United States编委会由三十余名编辑与编委组成，覆盖十二个国家与地区，其中中国十人、西班牙七人、美国三人。
