Scope

• Studies of Earth's atmosphere from the surface up to the mesosphere and lower thermosphere are published, spanning five subject areas: gases, aerosols, clouds and precipitation, dynamics, and climate and Earth system, approached through laboratory studies, field measurements, remote sensing, modelling and machine learning.本刊发表自地表至中间层及低热层的地球大气研究，涵盖气体、气溶胶、云与降水、动力学、气候与地球系统五大主题领域，研究手段包括实验室研究、野外观测、遥感、模拟与机器学习。

History

• The journal was founded in 2001 as the first fully open-access scientific journal, pioneering interactive public peer review, and is published by Copernicus Publications, a not-for-profit service provider, on behalf of the European Geosciences Union.本刊于 2001 年创刊，是首个完全开放获取的科学期刊，开创了交互式公开同行评审模式，由非营利出版服务机构（Copernicus Publications）代表欧洲地球科学联盟（EGU）出版。
