The first issue opened with a one-page editorial preface signed by Stepleman and Vichnevetsky, and the Editorial Board followed on the roman-numbered page before the articles.创刊号以一篇一页的前言开卷，署名是 Stepleman 与 Vichnevetsky，编委会名单排在正文前面的罗马数字页上。

The opening volume reads like the field's agenda for that decade.
