History

• The journal was founded in May 1980 by Weizang Chien, a leading figure in modern Chinese mechanics and a former president of Shanghai University.刊物由中国近代力学奠基人之一、上海大学原校长钱伟长于 1980 年 5 月创办。
• It is sponsored by Shanghai University and the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and supervised by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.刊物由上海大学与中国力学学会主办，主管单位为上海市教育委员会。
