Applied Geochemistry

Applied Geochemistry is the official journal of the International Association of Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry, published by Elsevier and founded in 1986, covering geochemical research of practical application, with a 2025 impact factor of 3.5（Applied Geochemistry，简称 Appl. History

• Founded in 1986 as the official journal of the International Association of Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry, an association established in Paris in 1967该刊 1986 年创刊，为国际地球化学与宇宙化学协会的官方期刊，该协会 1967 年成立于巴黎。
• It was launched by Alfred A. Levinson, then chairman of the association's publication committee, together with the first executive editor Brian Hitchon该刊由时任协会出版委员会主席 Alfred A. Levinson 与首任执行编辑 Brian Hitchon 共同创办。
• Its first issues were published by Pergamon Press, which was absorbed into Elsevier around 1991, after which the journal has been published by Elsevier创刊期由（Pergamon Press）出版，该社约 1991 年并入 Elsevier，此后由 Elsevier 出版。^[1]
• Editors-in-chief have included Brian Hitchon from 1986, Michael Kersten from 2012 to 2022 and Wang Zimeng from 2023 to 2026历任主编包括 Brian Hitchon（1986 年起）、Michael Kersten（2012 至 2022 年）与王梓萌（2023 至 2026 年）。
• It began as a bimonthly and changed to twelve issues a year from about 2002该刊创刊为双月刊，约 2002 年起改为每年十二期。

• The editors-in-chief are Elisa Sacchi of the University of Pavia in Italy and Chen Zhu of Indiana University Bloomington in the United States现任共同主编为意大利帕维亚大学的 Elisa Sacchi 与美国印第安纳大学伯明顿分校的朱晨。
• Elisa Sacchi works on environmental geochemistry and took office in 2025, while her predecessor Wang Zimeng served as sole editor-in-chief from 2023 to 2026Elisa Sacchi 研究环境地球化学，2025 年起就任；其前任王梓萌于 2023 至 2026 年任唯一主编。
• Chen Zhu works on geochemical modelling, reactive transport, water-rock interaction and carbon dioxide sequestration朱晨研究地球化学建模、反应性迁移、水岩相互作用与二氧化碳封存。
• The journal has a strategic advisory board and forty-eight associate editors drawn mainly from China and the United States, with further members from Germany, Australia, Canada, Switzerland and Sweden该刊设战略顾问委员会与四十八名副编辑，副编辑以中国与美国成员为主，另有来自德国、澳大利亚、加拿大、瑞士与瑞典的成员。
