Scope

• Natural and synthetic antioxidants are central to the journal, covering their sources, isolation, chemical synthesis and structure-activity relationships天然与合成抗氧化剂是该刊的核心，涉及来源、分离、化学合成与构效关系。

History

• The inaugural issue was released in 2012, when the journal was launched by MDPI as a quarterly open access title该刊的创刊号于 2012 年发行，当时由（MDPI）以季刊形式创办并采取开放获取模式。
• It was founded under Stanley Omaye of the University of Nevada in the United States, who served as editor-in-chief from 2012 until 2023该刊由美国内华达大学的（Stanley Omaye）创办并任主编，任期自 2012 年至 2023 年。
• The journal was indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index in 2015 with coverage back to volume 1, issue 1, and it was later included in the Science Citation Index Expanded该刊于 2015 年被（ESCI）收录，覆盖范围回溯至第 1 卷第 1 期，其后又被（SCIE）收录。
• As submissions grew, publication moved from a quarterly schedule to monthly issues, and annual article output increased to well over a thousand articles a year随着投稿量增长，出版节奏由季刊改为月刊，年发文量增至每年一千篇以上。
• Alessandra Napolitano of the University of Naples Federico II in Italy took over as editor-in-chief in 2024, succeeding the founding editor意大利那不勒斯费德里科二世大学的（Alessandra Napolitano）于 2024 年接任主编。
