History

• The journal first appeared in January 1939 as The Rheumatic Diseases, and it was soon renamed Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases该刊于 1939 年 1 月以（The Rheumatic Diseases）之名面世，不久后更名为（Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases）。
• Its first editorial committee consisted of C. W. Buckley, W. S. C. Copeman and A. G. Timbrell Fisher, with Buckley acting as the principal editor其首任编辑委员会由 C. W. Buckley、W. S. C. Copeman 与 A. G. Timbrell Fisher 组成，Buckley 为主要编辑。
