Animal Research and One Health

Animal Research and One Health is a gold open access quarterly launched in 2023 by the Institute of Animal Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and published with Wiley, linking animal production, environmental health and human health under the One Health idea, with a first Journal Impact Factor of 5.3 in 2025.《动物科学与同一健康》（Animal Research and One Health）由中国农业科学院北京畜牧兽医研究所于 2023 年创办、与（Wiley）合作出版，为金色开放获取季刊，以同一健康理念连接动物生产、生态环境与人类健康，2025 年首获影响因子 5.3。

History

• The journal was announced in February 2023, its first issue appeared in August 2023 and a second followed in November.本刊于 2023 年 2 月对外发布，创刊号于 2023 年 8 月出版，第二期于同年 11 月面世。
• It is owned by the Institute of Animal Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and produced with Wiley.本刊由中国农业科学院北京畜牧兽医研究所主办，与（Wiley）合作出版。
• Publication costs were covered by the institute from 2023 to 2025, after which an article processing charge of 2700 US dollars applies under a CC BY licence.2023 至 2025 年出版费用由主办单位承担，其后按（CC BY）许可收取 2700 美元文章处理费。
• Clarivate accepted the journal into the Emerging Sources Citation Index in November 2025, covering every paper since Volume 1 Issue 1.（Clarivate）于 2025 年 11 月将本刊收入（Emerging Sources Citation Index），覆盖自第 1 卷第 1 期起的全部论文。
• It received a first Journal Impact Factor of 5.3 in the 2025 release, ranking sixth among 170 veterinary journals and fifth among 87 agriculture and animal science journals.本刊在 2025 年度报告中首获影响因子 5.3，在 170 种兽医学期刊中列第六，在 87 种农业与动物科学期刊中列第五。
• It was selected for the second phase of the China Association for Science and Technology excellence action plan and for the 2025 list of world-class scientific journals.本刊入选中国科协卓越行动计划二期高起点新刊项目，并进入 2025 年度世界一流科技期刊目录。

Editors

• Qin Yuchang, director of the Institute of Animal Sciences, is Editor-in-Chief.主编为（Qin Yuchang），即中国农业科学院北京畜牧兽医研究所所长。
• Yao Bin and Hou Shuisheng, both academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, serve as co-Editors-in-Chief.（Yao Bin）与（Hou Shuisheng）两位中国工程院院士担任共同主编。
• Peter Stevenson of Compassion in World Farming is a co-Editor-in-Chief and brings the farm animal welfare perspective.（Compassion in World Farming）的（Peter Stevenson）任共同主编，带入农场动物福利视角。
• Gao Fu, Shen Jianzhong, Chen Hulan, Bao Zhenmin and Jin Ningyi advise the journal as academicians.（Gao Fu）、（Shen Jianzhong）、（Chen Hulan）、（Bao Zhenmin）与（Jin Ningyi）五位院士担任顾问。
• The board is organised in seven sections and counted 123 members and 196 early-career editors at launch.编委会按七个栏目组建，创刊时有 123 位编委与 196 位青年编委。
• Review is single-anonymized by default with an optional double-anonymized route, free format submission is allowed and a decision is targeted within 40 days, while in-house papers go to unaffiliated editors.评审默认单匿名，作者可选双匿名，接受自由格式投稿，目标在 40 天内给出决定，编委自己的稿件交由无利益关联的编辑处理。
