Angiolathyrism

Angiolathyrism is the vascular form of lathyrism, a group of disorders caused by prolonged consumption of seeds of the genus Lathyrus, and it is characterised by weakening of blood vessel walls.

It is the rarest of the three forms, the others being neurolathyrism with spastic paraparesis and osteolathyrism with skeletal deformity, and human cases are far less well documented than the animal model.
