Ajou University (Korean: 아주대학교) is a private research university in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, established in 1973 as Ajou Engineering Junior College and raised to full university status in 1981.亚洲大学（韩语：아주대학교，英语：Ajou University）是韩国京畿道水原市的一所私立研究型大学，1973 年以亚洲工业专科学校创立，1981 年升格为综合大学。

It grew out of a 1971 Korea-France agreement on technical and cultural exchange, and occupies a single campus beside Gwanggyo Bio-Techno Valley in Suwon, roughly 30 kilometres south of central Seoul.该校源自 1971 年韩法技术与文化交流协定，校园集中在光教生物科技谷旁，位于首尔市中心以南约 30 公里的水原市。

History

• In 1971 the governments of Korea and France concluded an agreement to create a Korea-France technology college for exchanging technology and culture through education, and in March 1973 the forerunner of Ajou University opened as Ajou Engineering Junior College.1971 年韩国与法国政府达成协议，为透过教育交流技术与文化而筹办韩法技术学院；1973 年 3 月，亚洲大学前身亚洲工业专科学校正式开办。
