Scope

• Mechanisms governing the biophysical features and functioning of agroecosystems are the first named area, including biogeochemistry, ecology and the sustainability of farming systems农业生态系统生物物理特征与功能的机制是首个列出的方向，包括生物地球化学、生态学与农业系统的可持续性。

History

• The journal began in 1974 as Agro-Ecosystems, a title that reflected the then-new ambition of treating farmland as an ecological system该刊 1974 年以《农业生态系统》为名创刊，这一名称反映了当时将农田视为生态系统的全新取向。
• It was retitled Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment in 1983, widening the frame from agroecosystems alone to their environmental setting1983 年改为现名，将视野从农业生态系统本身扩展到其所处的环境。
