• It is the child of Philosophical Magazine, a journal established in 1798该刊脱胎于 1798 年创办的（Philosophical Magazine）。

• It appears bimonthly under print ISSN 0001-8732 and electronic ISSN 1460-6976期刊按双月刊出版，印刷 ISSN 为 0001-8732，电子 ISSN 为 1460-6976。
• The advances in physics brand now also encompasses the fully open access sister journals Advances in Physics: X and Advances in Physics: Astronomy, Astrophysics and Particle Physics「物理学进展」品牌下现另有完全开放获取的姊妹刊（Advances in Physics: X）与新创的天体物理与粒子物理姊妹刊。
