Advances in Geo-Energy Research is a monthly, fully open access international journal founded in 2017 and published by Yandy Scientific Press, which carries original research articles, reviews and rapid communications on the science and engineering of natural geo-energy such as oil, gas, coal, geothermal energy and gas hydrate, and recorded a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 11.2 with a Q1 ranking in both Emerging Sources Citation Index categories（Advances in Geo-Energy Research）常译作《地能研究进展》，2017 年创刊、由（Yandy Scientific Press）出版，每月发行并对读者完全免费，刊载石油、天然气、煤、地热与天然气水合物等天然地质能源科学与工程方面的原创论文、综述与快报，2025 年影响因子为 11.2，在（ESCI）的两个学科类别均居 Q1 区。

Scope

• Its stated aim is to publish high quality papers rapidly in the fields of natural geo-energy, combining theoretical, numerical and experimental approaches to fundamental scientific advances in geo-energy systems该刊以快速出版高质量论文为宗旨，强调把理论、数值模拟与实验方法结合起来探究地质能源系统的基础科学进展。

History

• The journal was launched in 2017 and its first issue appeared in June 2017 with Jianchao Cai as founding editor-in-chief该刊于 2017 年创刊，首期于 2017 年 6 月问世，蔡建超任创刊主编。
• Accepted papers appeared quarterly from 2017 to 2021, changed to a bimonthly cadence in 2022 and have been published monthly since 2023录用论文在 2017 至 2021 年按季出版，2022 年改为每两月一期，2023 年起改为每月一期并延续至今。
• Scopus accepted the title in June 2020, Ei Compendex and GEOBASE followed in October 2021, and the Emerging Sources Citation Index listed it in November 2022（Scopus）于 2020 年 6 月接受该刊，（Ei Compendex）与（GEOBASE）在 2021 年 10 月跟进，（ESCI）于 2022 年 11 月将其纳入。
