Advanced Engineering Materials

Advanced Engineering Materials is a journal of engineering materials founded by Wiley-VCH in cooperation with the German Materials Society in 1999 in Weinheim, Germany, and the first spin-off of Advanced Materials, with a 2025 impact factor of 3.6（Advanced Engineering Materials，简称 Adv. Eng. Mater.）是 Wiley-VCH 与德国材料学会合作创办的工程材料期刊，1999 年创刊于德国魏因海姆，为《Advanced Materials》的首个衍生子刊，2025 年影响因子为 3.6。

Scope

• Focuses on materials for engineering applications, mainly structural materials, complementing the flagship Advanced Materials journal which concentrates on functional materials聚焦面向工程应用的材料研究，以结构材料为主，与偏重功能材料的旗舰刊（Advanced Materials）形成互补。
• Intermetallics, metallic foams and other cellular materials金属间化合物、金属泡沫与其他多孔材料。

History

• Founded in 1999 by Wiley-VCH in cooperation with the German Materials Society, or DGM, as the first spin-off of Advanced Materials1999 年由 Wiley-VCH 与德国材料学会合作创办，是（Advanced Materials）的首个衍生子刊。
• It began with DGM in 1999 and was joined by the French materials society SF2M in 2001 and the Swiss materials association SVMT in 2002该刊 1999 年起与德国材料学会合作，2001 年增法国材料学会，2002 年增瑞士材料技术协会。
• The founding editor was Jörn Ritterbusch, who is now the journal's publisher, and Tim Adams became editor-in-chief in 2012, followed by Sandra Kalveram创刊主编为 Jörn Ritterbusch，其现为本刊出版人；2012 年起 Tim Adams 任主编，其后由 Sandra Kalveram 接任。^[1]
• An Advanced Biomaterials section appeared within the journal from 2008 to 2011 and was spun off as the independent journal Advanced Healthcare Materials in 20122008 至 2011 年刊内附设（Advanced Biomaterials）分册，该部分 2012 年独立为（Advanced Healthcare Materials）。^[2]

Editors

• The editor-in-chief is Sandra Kalveram of Wiley-VCH, who studied chemistry at TU Dortmund and University College London, took her doctorate at Dortmund in 2002 and joined the publisher in 2003现任主编 Sandra Kalveram，任职于 Wiley-VCH，曾在多特蒙德工业大学与伦敦大学学院学习化学，2002 年获多特蒙德博士学位，2003 年加入该社。
