Adegramotide

Adegramotide is an investigational peptide cancer vaccine derived from the Wilms tumor 1 (WT1) protein, a WT1-specific CD4-positive T-cell epitope of 18 amino acids with an embedded CD8-positive T-cell epitope. It is one of the two peptide components of DSP-7888 Emulsion, a therapeutic cancer vaccine emulsified in the Montanide ISA 51 adjuvant, where it is paired with (nelatimotide), a 19-amino-acid peptide carrying two WT1 CD8 epitopes. The vaccine is administered intradermally and has been tested in higher-risk myelodysplastic syndrome after azacitidine failure, where 78.7 percent of patients mounted a WT1-specific immune reaction, and in recurrent glioblastoma in combination with bevacizumab. Adegramotide's role is to supply helper T-cell help that augments the cytotoxic response, a division of labour established in preclinical work. The compound has no approved indication in any jurisdiction.
