Acta Neuropathologica

Acta Neuropathologica (commonly abbreviated Acta Neuropathol., CODEN ANLSBX) is a monthly peer-reviewed international journal in neuropathology published by Springer in Germany, carrying research on the pathology and pathogenesis of neurological disease, with manuscripts written in English.Acta Neuropathologica(常用缩写 Acta Neuropathol.,CODEN 为 ANLSBX)是由德国施普林格(Springer)出版的神经病理学领域国际同行评审月刊,刊载神经系统疾病的病理与发病机制研究,稿件以英文为主

Scope

The mission stated on the journal website is to publish the best articles on the pathology and pathogenesis of neurological disease, focusing on structural and molecular neuropathology using human tissue, animal models and in vitro systems.

It is worth noting that the journal does not treat morphological description and mechanistic investigation as an either-or choice. In a published editorial the Editor-in-Chief explains that the proportion of papers presenting both experimental data and human tissue data is rising, because cross-methodological corroboration is regarded as a necessary condition for major findings, and whether a paper carries clinical relevance is likewise weighed when acceptance is decided.

History

Editors

The journal has an Editor-in-Chief, supported by associate editors, an editorial assistant and an international editorial board covering the subspecialties of neuropathology. Manuscripts are subject to peer review, with acceptance decided by the Editor-in-Chief.
