Acta Ecologica Sinica

Acta Ecologica Sinica is the English-language international journal of the Ecological Society of China, published by Elsevier, launched in 2006 as the English version of the Chinese journal Acta Ecologica Sinica and independent from 2009, covering ecology, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 14.2（Acta Ecologica Sinica）是（Ecological Society of China）的英文国际期刊，由（Elsevier）出版，2006 年作为中文刊《生态学报》的英文版创办、2009 年起独立，覆盖生态学各领域，2025 年影响因子为 14.2。

Scope

• It publishes recent theories and novel experimental results in ecology and facilitates international academic exchange刊载生态学的新理论与新实验成果，促进国际学术交流。
• It covers animal, plant, microbial and agro-ecology涵盖动物生态学、植物生态学、微生物生态学与农业生态学。
• It covers forestry, grassland and soil ecology and ocean and aquatic ecosystems涵盖森林生态学、草地生态学、土壤生态学与海洋及水域生态系统。
• It covers landscape, chemical, contaminant and urban and human ecology涵盖景观生态学、化学生态学、污染生态学与城市及人类生态学。^[1]
• It welcomes reviews on recent developments in ecology and novel experimental studies欢迎生态学新进展综述与新颖的实验研究。
• It also publishes short communications, new theories, methodologies and techniques, book reviews and research news还刊载短通讯、新理论、新方法与新技术、书评与研究动态。

History

• It was launched in 2006, when Elsevier started publishing it on ScienceDirect as the English version of the Chinese journal Acta Ecologica Sinica2006 年由（Elsevier）在（ScienceDirect）上以中文刊《生态学报》英文版的形式创办。
• It evolved into an independent English-language international journal in 20092009 年起发展为独立的英文国际期刊。
• It is sponsored by the Ecological Society of China and undertaken by the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences由（Ecological Society of China）主办、（Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences）、（Chinese Academy of Sciences）承办。
• It is issued bimonthly and its editorial work is carried out by the editorial office of the Chinese journal Acta Ecologica Sinica该刊为双月刊，编辑工作由中文刊《生态学报》编辑部承担。
• In 2024 it was renamed Ecological Frontiers, and its Journal Impact Factor rose from 7.1 in 2024 to 14.2 in 20252024 年更名为（Ecological Frontiers），其影响因子由 2024 年的 7.1 升至 2025 年的 14.2。

• The Editor-in-Chief is Bojie Fu of the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences主编为（Bojie Fu），任职于（Chinese Academy of Sciences）的（Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences）。
• Zhiyun Ouyang of the same centre serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief同中心的（Zhiyun Ouyang）任共同主编。
