ACM Transactions on Information Systems
ACM Transactions on Information Systems is the peer-reviewed information retrieval journal of the Association for Computing Machinery, published in the United States since 1983 under the short form TOIS, and its 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 11.2 ranks it seventh among the 266 titles of the Computer Science, Information Systems category该刊(《ACM Transactions on Information Systems》)由(Association for Computing Machinery)自 1983 年起在美国出版,简称 TOIS,是信息检索领域的同行评审期刊,2025 年影响因子为 11.2,在计算机信息系统学科的 266 种期刊中排第 7。
Scope
- Its published aims are to carry papers on information retrieval itself, and the statement of scope names search engines and recommender systems as the leading examples of the field其公开宗旨是刊载信息检索本身的研究论文,投稿范围说明把搜索引擎与推荐系统列为该领域的典型代表。
- It seeks new principled information retrieval models or algorithms that come with sound empirical validation该刊寻求附有可靠实证检验的新型原理性信息检索模型或算法。
- It welcomes observational, experimental and theoretical studies that yield new insight into information retrieval or into information seeking该刊欢迎为信息检索与信息查寻带来新见解的观察、实验与理论研究。
- It publishes accounts of applications of existing retrieval techniques that shed light on their strengths and weaknesses, together with formalizations of new retrieval or seeking tasks and of the methods used to evaluate performance on them该刊刊载揭示既有检索技术优劣的应用记述,也刊载新检索任务与新查寻任务的形式化描述及其性能评估方法。
- Further covered are content analysis approaches for text, image, speech and video that support retrieval, computational models of users' information preferences and interactive behaviour, and the creation and analysis of evaluation methodology此外还涵盖支持检索的文本、图像、语音与视频内容分析方法、用户信息偏好与交互行为的计算模型、以及评估方法的建立与分析。
- Surveys of existing work that propose significant synthesis opinions are also eligible, and the journal describes its scope as appealing to industry practitioners for its creative ideas and to academic researchers for its accounts of colleagues' work提出重要综合性意见的既有工作综述同样在征稿之列;该刊自述其范围以丰富创意吸引业界从业者、以对同行工作的记述吸引学术研究者。
History
- The series started with volume 1 in February 1983 and its volume numbering has run without a break, so that volume 11 falls in 1993, volume 42 in 2024 and volume 44 in 2025该刊自 1983 年 2 月第 1 卷起连续编号、从未中断,故第 11 卷对应 1993 年、第 42 卷对应 2024 年、第 44 卷对应 2025 年。
- Its earliest volumes served the new field of office information systems, as in Thomas W. Malone's 1983 study of how people organize their desks and what that implies for the design of electronic information management最早几卷服务于当时的新兴领域办公信息系统,例如 Thomas W. Malone 于 1983 年发表的研究:人们如何整理办公桌、以及这对电子信息管理系统的设计意味着什么。[1]
- It has always been published by the Association for Computing Machinery and archived in the ACM Digital Library, with print identifier 1046-8188 and electronic identifier 1558-2868, and the registries record no change of title or of identifier across the backfile该刊自始即由(Association for Computing Machinery)出版并存档于(ACM Digital Library),纸本标识 1046-8188、电子标识 1558-2868,登记系统未记载回溯库中的刊名或标识变更。
- Its orientation gradually narrowed from office and document systems to information retrieval as such, which is why search engines and recommender systems now head the statement of scope其取向由办公与文档系统逐步收窄为信息检索本身,因此如今的范围说明以搜索引擎与推荐系统领衔。
- Its recorded Journal Impact Factor series runs 4.797 for 2021 and 4.657 for 2022, then 9.1 for 2024 and 11.2 for 2025其有记录的影响因子序列为 2021 年 4.797、2022 年 4.657、2024 年 9.1、2025 年 11.2。
- Output has grown at the same time, from a few dozen items a year around 2020 to some 115 in 2024 and about 185 in 2025, with volumes now running to at least six numbered issues, and on 1 January 2026 the ACM made all of its publications, this journal included, open access in the Digital Library同期载文量不断攀升,从 2020 年前后的每年数十篇增至 2024 年约 115 篇、2025 年约 185 篇,每卷已至少出到第 6 期;2026 年 1 月 1 日(ACM)把旗下全部出版物(含本刊)在数字图书馆中转为开放获取。
