ACM Computing Surveys

ACM Computing Surveys (ACM Comput. Surv.) is the survey and tutorial journal of the Association for Computing Machinery. Founded in 1969, it is among the oldest and most highly cited review titles in computing, publishes nothing but surveys and tutorials, appears monthly, and had a 2025 impact factor of 30.4.《美国计算机协会计算综述》(ACM Computing Surveys'''',缩写 ACM Comput. Surv.'')

Scope

The journal treats a survey as an entry point to an entire literature: it must order what is already known, give the field a structure and sketch an agenda, all in terms that let a reader from outside the specialism find a way in. Submissions are not confined to a subfield and concentrate on:本刊的取稿立场是把一篇综述当作「一整片文献的入口」:既要梳理已有成果,也要给出该方向的结构化图景与后续议程,使非本专业的读者也能据此进入。

Papers come in three kinds, a long survey capped at thirty-five pages, a short survey capped at fifteen pages and a tutorial, all of them open to uninvited submission. Authors must supply an ORCID, and a paper rejected here may not be resubmitted within twelve months. [1]

History

Editors

The journal's editor-in-chief is appointed by the association, normally for a three-year term, and is supported by associate editors and a board that handle the review of long surveys. The association publishes a list of past editors-in-chief, which is unusual among its titles and makes the journal's editorial succession fully traceable. [7]
