Accounts of Materials Research
Accounts of Materials Research is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal co-published by the American Chemical Society and ShanghaiTech University since 2020, publishing concise personal Accounts of recent developments across materials science and engineering, with a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 14.1(Accounts of Materials Research)是由(American Chemical Society)与(ShanghaiTech University)自 2020 年起共同出版的月刊同行评审期刊,刊载材料科学与工程各领域最新进展的简明个人述评,2025 年影响因子为 14.1。
Scope
- It publishes concise personal reviews and perspectives describing recent research developments in all aspects of materials science and engineering [1]
- An Account draws on results previously published by the authors to teach readers new insights and thinking in an area of materials research
- Each Account is directed at specialists in the field and also at a broad range of scientists who wish to keep abreast of the best current research in other fields
- Readability by the non-expert is therefore essential, so authors are expected to explain background and significance clearly
- Most manuscripts are submitted after invitation by the Editor-in-Chief, although unsolicited proposals are also considered
- It welcomes work from chemistry, physics, biology and engineering as long as it advances the understanding and application of materials [2][3]
- Purely incremental reports that lack a personal perspective or a broader message are not in scope
History
- It was launched in autumn 2020, and its first issue was published online on 23 October 2020
- It was the first journal in the 140-year publishing history of the American Chemical Society to be co-established with a partner outside the United States它是(American Chemical Society)140 年出版史上首份与美国境外伙伴共同创办的期刊。
- It is co-published by the American Chemical Society and ShanghaiTech University, which later partnered again on the journal Photon Science该刊由(American Chemical Society)与(ShanghaiTech University)共同出版,双方其后又合作创办了伙伴期刊(Photon Science)。
